Let me explain first why I am writing this book. The main reason is that I just want to share some my experiences of my childhood in my native village called Thanga in Manipur state. Like all other places in Manipur, my village was also badly effected by the insurgency problems. I saw many people suffered not known to the people of this country and the world. When I came here in Delhi two years back, I thought I was in a save place. But I was wrong. The fear of being attacked by the militants from Pakistan and Kashmir is in the mind of every common man living in the city. I thought everywhere is just the same. The same problem faced by the people in my village, is also being faced by the people all over the world. This world has become my village now I think. <br /> <br />So, I have decided that I must do my best to save the innocent lives. We know that most of the militants are from rural and neglected areas, they have been trapped and misused by powerful forces. Indeed, these young people are innocent and their minds have been manipulated and in this way, they become a threat to human society. Unfortunately, no force can stop them but only a peaceful means can solve this problem. Once, we do something that can change the mind of these people, they will become our friends and good citizens just like they did before. I have lived my entire life in a village and have the opportunity to observe very closely the lives of many young people living in the village. I am sharing some of my experiences that I got from my village.<br /><br />I think this book is for those people who want to know about how our young people are living in far rural areas and what’s their outlook towards our nation. No longer we can neglect them like this. Indeed, it’s the responsibility of each one of us do what we can to solve their problems and usher a new life to these young people. <br /><br /> This book is a collection of poems and short stories.
